The Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company was established in February 2017, and is the main investor in the construction and operation of the Hoa Phat Iron and Steel Production Complex in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, in the province of Quang Ngai. This is an important strategic project, that ensures the position as the leading steel producer in Southeast Asia for the Hoa Phat Group.

With a total capacity of 4 million tons a year, the products of the company are mainly construction steel, high-quality coil steel and hot-rolled coil steel. The factories have been involved in unwanted incidents of environmental issues because of noise, discharges and smog.

The company has installed 14 automated environmental monitoring systems in the factory and construction site, including:
