Nhon Trach 1 thermal power plant was built in Phuoc Khanh, in the province of Dong Nai. The PV Power company is the main investor in this project.
The plant uses advanced technology, so called F generation, with a combined cycle gas turbine with a 2-2-1 configuration, including 2 gas turbines, 2 heat recovery furnaces and 1 steam turbine. With a total capacity reaching 750 MW of production capacity, the average amount of electricity is over 4 billion kWh/year. The plant uses natural gas as a fuel, which is being exploited from the Cuu Long and Nam Con Son basins.
Challenge​
  • Monitoring the status of data and capturing information from stations when the connection is lost takes a lot of time, which leads to a reactive response when something goes wrong. That is both times consuming and takes a lot of human resources.
