As a member of the Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VICEM), alongside Vicem Hoang Thach, Vicem Bim Son, and Vicem Ha Tien, Vicem Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company was established on October 7, 1995. The construction of the plant began in June 1999, and it commenced production in July 2002. To remain competitive and develop in the international market, adhering to the policy of enterprise reform and management, Hoang Mai Cement Company was equitized and held its first shareholders' meeting on March 3, 2008.
Vicem Hoang Mai Cement Plant has an annual capacity of 1.26 million tons of clinker, equivalent to 1.4 million tons of cement. It produces cement using the dry process rotary kiln technology, transferred by FCB (France). The plant and headquarters are located in Hoang Mai Town, within the Nam Thanh Bac Nghe economic zone, benefiting from convenient railway, waterway, and road transport, along with abundant high-quality raw materials.
As the first unit in the Vietnam National Cement Corporation to adopt a product distribution model through a main distributor, Vicem Hoang Mai Cement has leveraged social capacity in product consumption and established a harmonious benefit between producer and distributor. With a highly skilled and experienced workforce, and advanced, synchronized technology provided by France and G7 countries, Vicem Hoang Mai's products are supplied to major national projects such as the National Convention Center, Ban Ve Hydropower, Hua Na Hydropower, Trung Son, Ba Thuoc, and Ngan Truoi Irrigation projects. The company has earned trust and satisfaction for its quality and service. Since production began, Vicem Hoang Mai has sold nearly 20 million tons of various products to the market. Over the years, the company has established its position in the domestic cement market and has exported to countries like Laos and Indonesia. Vicem Hoang Mai Cement has been awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal by the state and recognized with prestigious awards such as the Vietnam Gold Star (2004) and the Golden Cup for "Outstanding Vietnamese Enterprises" (2009), among other gold medals at trade fairs and exhibitions.
The company's high-capacity distribution system is always ready to meet customer demands for cement promptly. In recent years, Vicem Hoang Mai Cement has also focused on social, humanitarian, and charitable activities, contributing to the "Fund for the Poor," supporting disabled children, eradicating thatched houses, visiting and encouraging families of war invalids and martyrs, building gratitude houses, and offering savings books to Vietnamese heroic mothers on special occasions.
Vicem Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company continuously researches and develops cement products suitable for consumer preferences and Vietnam's climate.
