To ensure legal compliance regarding the environment, wastewater discharge regulations from localities, and to make the discharged wastewater cleaner, minimizing environmental pollution and avoiding adverse effects on human health, Sun World Ba Na Hills has implemented wastewater monitoring software developed by iLotusLand.

Ba Na Hills - Top Attractive Tourist Destination in Vietnam

Da Nang is a tourist city with countless attractive destinations, but Ba Na Hills still remains the most special name when mentioned there. It is likened to a "fairyland" or a "miniature Europe" with breathtaking landscapes, incredibly mysterious architectural works, and extremely enticing entertainment activities. All of these have made it one of the top tourist spots in Vietnam that everyone should visit.

Ba Na Hills is built on the summit of mount Chua, located in Hoa Vang District, about 25 km southwest of the center of Da Nang, at an altitude of 1487 meters above sea level. This is the first mountainous tourist area, known as the "Da Lat of the Central region" or the "pearl of climate" in Vietnam.

Overview of surface water environment in Da Nang City

The surface water environment in Da Nang City is showing signs of pollution, primarily due to untreated and inadequately collected wastewater released into receiving sources (pollution is concentrated mainly in open channels and regulating reservoirs). Another reason is inadequate control over the discharge of solid waste into the environment.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City, as part of the roadmap for building a "Smart City" in the environmental sector, the city has already implemented and connected a data monitoring system comprising more than 30 monitoring stations for surface water, wastewater, and air quality associated with relevant entities. All data is integrated into the Environmental Monitoring Service Platform of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for centralized monitoring and supervision.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Deputy Chief of the Environmental Protection Division of Da Nang City, stated that to accompany the "smart city" initiative, several enterprises have promptly responded by installing automatic monitoring stations instead of traditional periodic monitoring. Many large factories have effectively utilized this approach.

Bà Nà Hills implements and carries out a project to install an automatic wastewater monitoring station

As a prominent tourist destination in Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, managed by the Sun Group, considers wastewater treatment a significant concern. Especially, the automatic wastewater monitoring system must comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

According to Circular 31/2016/TT-BTNMT, it is mandated that facilities engaged in production and business outside industrial zones with a daily wastewater discharge of 1.000m3/ day and night must install an automatic continuous environmental monitoring system for wastewater discharge. The domestic wastewater treatment system at the Ba Na Hills project has a capacity of 1.800 m3/day and night which is the requirement to install an automatic monitoring station. Therefore, the investor conducted research and installed the automatic monitoring station in compliance with the regulations.

iLotusLand is a reputable and professional consulting firm providing solutions for automatic monitoring systems in the market. With over 9 years of experience and being a market leader in Vietnam in environmental data management and monitoring through IoT technology, we have gained the trust of Sun Group. We collaborated to install an automatic wastewater monitoring station to control water quality parameters as per regulations, contributing to preserving the green environment for visitors and tourists.

The automatic wastewater monitoring system is installed to measure various parameters such as COD, TSS, pH, ammonia, DO, temperature, and many other parameters of the wastewater treatment system. It integrates software, cameras, sampling devices, UPS, fire alarms, and smoke alarms. These parameters will be continuously and automatically monitored and stored, connected to transmit directly to the local Department of Natural Resources and Environment in accordance with regulations.
