Vung Ang II Thermal Power LLC (VAPCO) is invested and developed by Vung Ang II Thermal Power Company Limited (VAPCO) under the BOT model, with a total investment of approximately USD 2.2 billion. It represents a collaboration between Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and CLP Group (Hong Kong), marking one of the major efforts to enhance Vietnam’s power generation capacity. With a designed capacity of 1,200 MW, the plant is expected to supply about 7.8 billion kWh of electricity annually to the national grid, contributing to national energy security and promoting economic development in Ha Tinh Province. Vung Ang 2 is oriented to become a model in applying modern, high-efficiency technology and environmentally friendly operations.
