Luks Cement uses emissions monitoring software to oversee 10 emissions monitoring stations at its plant

Emissions issues from cement manufacturing plants are one of the major environmental challenges. During the production process, particularly in the clinker firing stage, cement plants emit large amounts of harmful gases such as SO2, NOx, CO, and fine dust. These emissions not only contribute to air pollution, affecting public health, but also play a role in global warming and climate change. Controlling and reducing emissions is essential to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while minimizing negative impacts on ecosystems and human health. Currently, many cement plants, including Luks Cement, are adopting automated emissions monitoring technologies such as CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System) and iLotusLand environmental data management software to monitor and control emissions, contributing towards sustainable development goals.
