After 10 years of renovation (since 1986), the Party and Government of Vietnam established state-owned corporations to accelerate capital accumulation, enhance production and business capabilities, and prepare for international integration. Pursuing this direction, on October 27, 1995, under Decision No. 1118/QD – TCCBĐT issued by the Minister of Heavy Industry (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade), VINACOMIN - Minerals Holding Corporation was founded by merging Vietnam Rare Minerals Corporation and Mineral Development Corporation.
VINACOMIN - Minerals Holding Corporation TKV
According to a decision by the Ministry of Industry, the Precious Stones and Gold Corporation merged into VINACOMIN - Minerals Holding Corporation on February 18, 2003. On December 26, 2005, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 345/QD—TTg regarding the establishment of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group, under which VINACOMIN - Minerals Holding Corporation became a subsidiary of the Group and operated under the parent-subsidiary model.
On June 15, 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3169/QD – BCT to transform Vietnam Minerals Corporation into a one-member limited liability company and renamed it Minerals Holding Corporation – Vinacomin.
On December 30, 2014, the Prime Minister approved the equitization plan of the parent company - Minerals Holding Corporation - Vinacomin. Consequently, on October 6, 2015, Vinacomin officially operated as a joint-stock company and was renamed Vietnam Minerals Corporation - TKV - JSC, with the following essential information:
