Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 (EVN Genco3) is a leading electricity company in Vietnam, originating from the restructuring of Phu My Thermal Power One Member Limited Liability Company and its dependent power generation companies. The establishment of PGV was officially recognized through Decision No. 3025/QD-BCT dated June 1, 2012, by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, marking a significant step in the restructuring and equitization process in the electricity sector in Vietnam.
According to Decision No. 2100/QD-TTg dated December 27, 2017, by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, PGV's equitization plan was approved, transforming it from a state-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company under the Vietnam Electricity Group. The equitization process enhances business efficiency and creates favorable conditions for capital mobilization and investment attraction from domestic and foreign investors.
EVN GENCO3 has main industries such as electricity production and business, electrical mechanics, investment and capital management of project power sources, programming, construction consulting, project management, and construction supervision.
Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 officially operates as a joint-stock company from October 1, 2018, marking a new milestone in its development and operations. With its listing on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) since February 10, 2022, PGV has become one of the leading companies in the electricity sector in Vietnam, offering attractive investment opportunities for investors and shareholders. The PGV stock symbol has become one of the most watched stocks in the Vietnamese stock market.
