I. LEGAL INFORMATION AND LOCATION OF YEN PHONG II-C INDUSTRIAL ZONE
On September 11, 2018, Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone was approved for investment by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1139/QD-TTg for Viglacera Corporation - Joint Stock Company, with a total investment capital of 2.234 trillion VND. Subsequently, the industrial zone was officially established according to Decision No. 545/QD-UBND, and the detailed construction planning was approved at a 1/2000 scale under Decision No. 413/QD-UBND dated July 30, 2019, by Bac Ninh Province. Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone was established with a planned area of 219.22 hectares, located in the Dong Tien and Tam Giang communes, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province, with an operational period of 50 years.
Regarding regional connectivity, both Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone specifically and Yen Phong II Industrial Zone generally have a highly advantageous transportation connection. They are easily connected to important transportation routes, providing a significant advantage in attracting investment. Specifically:
- Distance to the center of Bac Ninh city: 16 km
- Distance to the center of Hanoi city: 40 km
- Distance to Samsung Bac Ninh factory: 6 km
- Adjacent to Provincial Roads DT.285B and DT.277 with a width ranging from 83.5 m to 85 m
In terms of characteristics, Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone is a multi-sector industrial zone, mainly attracting processing and manufacturing industries; high-tech industries; non-polluting technology; electronic assembly; precision mechanical engineering; and the automotive industry.
II. INFRASTRUCTURE OF YEN PHONG 2C INDUSTRIAL ZONE
- Power Supply System: The electricity supply for production in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone is ensured through the 110/35/22KV Yen Phong 2 substation with a current capacity of 63 MVA, with plans to increase the capacity to 3*63 MVA. The power supply system is arranged in a branching manner, ready to connect to each plot of land within the industrial zone.
- Water Supply System: The industrial zone invests in building an internal water supply system with a designed capacity of 10,000 m3/day and night, with plans to expand to 20,000 m3/day and night. The water source is derived from the surface water of the Cau River. Water supply pipelines with diameters ranging from D110-D500mm are readily connected along the transportation axes within the industrial zone.
- Wastewater Treatment System: All production wastewater in Yen Phong 2C Industrial Zone is treated by a centralized wastewater treatment system with a total processing capacity of 17,000 m3/day and night. The processing capacity in phase 1 is 7,000 m3/day and night.
- Internal Transportation System: The internal transportation routes of Yen Phong IIC Industrial Zone are designed in a grid pattern, meeting technical standards suitable for the flow and load of vehicles in the industrial zone. The main axis road of the industrial zone has a cross-sectional width of 75 m, with a road width on each side of 10.5 m; the branch roads within the industrial zone have widths ranging from 25 m to 36 m. Additionally, the industrial zone has constructed a static parking lot covering an area of over 2.6 hectares to prevent congestion caused by vehicles stopping within the industrial zone.
– Communication System: A telephone exchange system with an expected scale of over 10,000 contact numbers is already set up at technical pits and technical pipeline routes along the roads within the industrial zone.
- Fire Protection System (PCCC): Fire hydrants are arranged within a radius of 150 m from the main water supply pipelines in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Zone to ensure pressure and water supply capacity, providing timely rescue for fire incidents within the industrial zone.
Furthermore, Yen Phong 2C Industrial Zone has also established an independent rainwater drainage system separate from the wastewater treatment system. The building elevation is completed at a height ranging from +5m to +6m, ensuring the prevention of flooding within the industrial zone. Landscaping and greenery systems are arranged, accounting for over 10% of the total planned area of the industrial zone, creating a spacious and serene environment.
- External Utilities: In addition to internal amenities, to serve the living needs of workers within the industrial zone, the industrial zone investor has constructed a workers' housing area covering over 20 hectares along with a residential area and other functional areas such as a health station, sports facilities, and schools to create a healthy working environment and enhance the bond among workers.
II. CURRENT INVESTMENT ATTRACTION STATUS IN YEN PHONG 2C INDUSTRIAL ZONE
Currently, Yen Phong 2C Industrial Zone has completed its industrial infrastructure, entered into operation, and filled over 60% of the industrial zone's land area with exemplary projects such as the electronic chip production project by Amkor Technology Vietnam Limited Liability Company (USA) on a scale of 23 hectares with an investment capital of over 1.6 billion USD; the construction of rental workshops project by KTG Industries (Vietnam); the automated teller machine (ATM) manufacturing project by Hyosung Financial System Vina Limited Liability Company (South Korea)...
III. YEN PHONG 2C INDUSTRIAL ZONE IMPLEMENTS ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SOFTWARE
In its development strategy to become a modern industrial province, Bac Ninh province always places importance on environmental protection. Therefore, from the planning stage, the province has directed the development of industrial parks to be closely associated with environmental factors, considering it a crucial criterion for determining harmonious and sustainable development.
Among the large-scale industrial parks, Yen Phong 2C is always of interest to the province, emphasizing the installation of a monitoring system and automatic environmental monitoring to regularly and continuously monitor the quality of wastewater before being discharged into the environment. The Bac Ninh Department of Natural Resources and Environment closely monitors the indices and environmental quality of wastewater discharged from the industrial park.
To reinforce waste management and environmental protection efforts, the industrial park has partnered with iLotusLand to deploy and install Monitoring Data Management Software This allows for the monitoring, evaluation, and management of the quality of wastewater discharged into the environment in accordance with legal regulations. These efforts not only help minimize negative impacts on the environment but also contribute to building a sustainable future for both the industrial zone and the surrounding community.
