Yen Binh Industrial Zone invests in technology for monitoring wastewater monitoring data

Yen Binh Industrial Zone has invested 1.175 trillion VND in constructing a clean water plant with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters per day and night, and a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day and night. This has helped the industrial zone be recognized as a unit that consistently performs well in investment activities for environmental protection. Clear responsibilities for environmental protection have been established for the investors of Yen Binh Industrial Zone, as well as for the manufacturing and business enterprises. They have researched and understood the regulations regarding environmental protection thoroughly. Additionally, Yen Binh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company has applied technology to manage and monitor wastewater monitoring data within the industrial zone.


Yen Phong industrial zone environmental protection

Yen Phong Industrial Zone has always been at the forefront of attracting foreign investment. Currently, the zone has attracted 30 large enterprises for production and business development, including 18 FDI enterprises, with a total registered capital of nearly 8 billion USD (accounting for over 75% of the total FDI capital in the province's area) and 12 domestic enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 4,400 billion VND.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy General Director of Yen Binh Development Investment Corporation, it has been recognized that from the investment preparation stage to the present, the clear responsibilities for environmental protection of the investors of Yen Binh Industrial Zone, as well as the manufacturing and business enterprises, have thoroughly researched and implemented the legal regulations related to environmental protection. Especially, they have effectively implemented the contents directly related to environmental protection in the industrial zone according to the Environmental Protection Law 2020, which has been effective since the beginning of 2022.

As of early 2023, Yen Binh Development Investment Corporation has invested nearly 4,500 billion VND in Yen Binh Industrial Zone, including 1,175 billion VND in the construction of a clean water plant with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters per day and night and a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day and night.

To effectively treat wastewater in the industrial zone, the company has focused on constructing and completing a centralized wastewater treatment area and installing an automatic monitoring system, with a total investment capital of nearly 600 billion VND. The wastewater treatment system is planned on an area of ​​nearly 7 hectares, with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day and night, and is constructed using modern technology and equipment from Japan, with a high level of automation.

In addition, to monitor and address issues related to the wastewater treatment system at Yen Binh Industrial Zone, the investor Yen Binh Development Investment Corporation has deployed the use of the iLotusLand software to manage and monitor the wastewater monitoring data of the wastewater treatment facility.
