Cement production is one of the most pollution-prone industries in the construction materials sector, with dust generated during the cement burning and grinding process being a major source of pollution. Strict environmental protection regulations in cement production must be adhered to and strictly enforced by manufacturing and business entities. Therefore, Kien Giang Cement Joint Stock Company has collaborated with iLotusLand to implement emission monitoring software to enhance environmental protection quality.

Founded on November 8, 2004, and becoming one of the leading cement manufacturers in Vietnam, with its main headquarters in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province, Vietnam, the company specializes in the production and trade of cement products, concrete, and related construction products for various projects and infrastructure throughout the country.
Responsibility for environmental protection
According to the Vietnam Cement Association, one of the effective activities being carried out is the collection, purification, and utilization of the amount of exhaust heat through smokestacks and cooling areas by many manufacturers to generate electricity. The cement industry has also gradually improved waste treatment technology, including hazardous waste, household waste, construction waste, and various industrial wastes, to use them as raw materials and alternative fuels, aiming to improve the environment and enhance production efficiency.
The environmental protection solutions mentioned above will be effectively implemented and expanded by cement manufacturers in the future. Additionally, the material quarries used for cement production (such as limestone quarries) will be transformed into ecological water reservoirs and sources of freshwater for agricultural production after completing the extraction down to a suitable depth. This transformation will contribute to reducing flooding and improving the surrounding environment.

Additionally, due to the specific nature of the industry, cement manufacturers also need to take decisive actions in environmental management and contribute to environmental solutions for other industries.

Through the process of measuring and analyzing parameters such as FLOW, Dust, Temp Pressure, the monitoring data will be continuously transmitted directly to the software for timely alerts about the quality of emissions at the installation site. This allows the company to promptly detect and address potential environmental changes or impacts on the surrounding living conditions caused by the emissions.
