Deploying the Wastewater Monitoring platform at Thu Duc Water Plant

Thu Duc Water Plant, formerly known as the Thu Duc - Bien Hoa Water Supply Branch under the Saigon Water Supply Corporation, was one of the first water supply units in the country to undergo privatization. On December 31, 2005, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued Decision No. 6662/QD-UBND approving the plan to transform the Thu Duc Water Supply Branch into the Thu Duc Water Supply Joint Stock Company.

 Main fields of activity:

• Managing and developing the water supply system, providing clean water for consumption and industrial production within its management area.
• Advising on the construction of water supply projects, civil and industrial works (excluding design and construction supervision).
• Constructing water supply projects and reinstating road surfaces for specialized water supply projects and other works.

Water quality of Thu Duc water plant

Water is an irreplaceable and incredibly precious resource. The increasing demand for water for both daily use and industrial production requires us to learn how to manage and utilize water sources effectively to meet our needs. The presence of the Thu Duc Water Plant is of utmost importance for the entire city of Ho Chi Minh.

Thu Duc Water Supply Company ensures the supply of high-quality water through continuous monitoring at the plant. Diligent specialists closely monitor water quality, including parameters like pH, residual chlorine levels, microorganisms, and bacteria, with regular updates. This enables them to promptly alert about any changes in the water source and guarantee clean, sanitary, and safe water that complies with the health standards for public use.

To quickly and accurately capture monitoring data, the Thu Duc Water Plant, in collaboration with Viet An Group and SWAN Analytical, has completed the iMisff 2101 DW station – a water quality monitoring system, the largest of its kind in Vietnam with a daily capacity of 750,000 m3. Additionally, they utilize the iLotusLand data monitoring software to precisely manage the monitoring parameters.

With the iLotusLand solution, the Thu Duc Water Plant has acquired an automatic real-time environmental data monitoring software, ready to accurately measure various parameters and indices. Additionally, it empowers the business to proactively respond to situations and incidents while ensuring tight control over the quality of output waste.

Current status

The automated wastewater monitoring system is installed in the project to measure critical parameters like COD, TSS, pH, ammonia, FLOW, and TOTALFLOW. These are essential monitoring parameters related to the wastewater treatment system. Furthermore, the system integrates camera software, sampling machines, UPS, fire alarms, and smoke detectors. These parameters are continuously and automatically monitored and stored, allowing for direct data transmission to the company for continuous updates.
