In recent years, Tien Giang province has made efforts to implement solutions to enhance management capacity, prioritize pollution prevention measures, and environmental conservation. However, some indicators have not met the set goals and practical requirements, such as the low installation rate of automatic continuous monitoring systems for wastewater in production, business, and service facilities.

The province aims, by 2025, to have 100% of production, business, and service facilities in the target group to install automatic continuous monitoring systems for wastewater and air emissions, transmitting data directly to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Also, 100% of facilities causing severe environmental pollution will be treated, and control will be in place to prevent the emergence of facilities causing serious environmental pollution.

Therefore, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the provincial People's Committee require agencies, factories, and industrial parks to simultaneously deploy the installation of automatic environmental monitoring systems. This will enable continuous reporting of monitoring data to the Department for monitoring and managing environmental quality.
