Luks Cement (Vietnam) is one of the leading cement enterprises in Vietnam, and they have taken a significant step in environmental protection by installing more than 10 emission monitoring stations at their production plant. The company utilizes the iLotusLand emission monitoring software to manage and monitor the monitoring data at the plant. The software collects measurements from various monitoring devices, including Flow, Temp, O2, Dust, SO2, NOx, and CO. In this article, we will explore how Luks Cement uses the iLotusLand environmental monitoring software to enhance its environmental protection efforts.
About Luks Cement (Vietnam) Limited
Established in 1992, Luks Cement (Vietnam) has continuously grown and invested in modern production infrastructure. Through strategic investments, they have built a factory in Thua Thien Hue province with an impressive capacity of 2.4 million tons per year and a cement grinding station in Ninh Thuan with a capacity of 1 million tons per year. With a diverse product portfolio including clinker and Kim Dinh cement, Luks Cement has significantly contributed to important national projects in transportation, seaports, power generation, and various other sectors.
The challenges and responsibilities of the business
Facing the challenge of managing emissions and ensuring compliance with the regulations outlined in Circular 02/2022/TT-MONRE issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Luks Cement, located in Huong Tra district, Thua Thien Hue province, with a population of 72,677 people, needs to ensure proper waste discharge in accordance with the law. Additionally, they must monitor pollution parameters such as SO2, Nox, CO, and dust as required by Vietnamese law to safeguard the health of the surrounding community. Simultaneously, to expand their business, the company needs to store all environmental data to apply production standards and promote sustainable development.
Application of iLotusLand solution using emission monitoring software
To address the aforementioned challenges, Luks Cement has implemented 10 units of the iMisff 7101 emission monitoring system at 10 different locations, ranging from kiln stations, cement grinding stations to coal grinding stations. Leveraging the iLotusLand platform, engineers can monitor data from all stations centrally, enabling them to gather crucial information for issue detection, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and production process optimization.
Achievements using emission monitoring software
By deploying 10 Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Luks Cement ensures accurate real-time data on emissions. This enhances environmental compliance, optimizes combustion processes and production to minimize environmental impact. The increased efficiency and positive decision-making contribute to sustainability, foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities and the local community, while avoiding penalties
